When you need to gift wrap in a hurry, you don’t want to be faffing around right?
Here are 3 things to avoid if you want to get a gift wrapped quickly
Tip 1: Don’t sit on the floor or try and wrap on the bed
The floor might seem like a good option. Lots of space and flat.
BUT wrapping sat on the floor, not only gives you back ache, it’s difficult to get the paper to fold into sharp creases. Likewise using the bed.
Choose a table or kitchen worktop. Using a firm surface makes it easier to cut exactly how much paper you need (Watch my Instagram reel and makes creating folds so much easier.
Tip 2: Avoid blunt scissors
If you are using fabric ribbon to decorate your gift with a bow, you need sharp scissors. Kitchen scissors are ok for cutting the paper. Try using them to cut fabric and you’ll be left with a tatty, untidy edge (and really frustrated too)
If you regularly wrap gifts, keep a pair of scissors just for cutting ribbons (and hide them from the rest of the family)
Tip 3: Don’t start until you have collected everything together that you need
It may seem obvious, but how many times have you started a task and realised that something you need is missing? Frustrating right? Collect everything together and lay everything out on your table before you start.
I always recommend using double sided tape (you can buy it here) It’s tearable and makes wrapping much quicker and easier
